About Get Focused
Get Focused, established in 2008 is the brainchild of E. Goldin Martinez and Yusuf Myers. They are both well known fitness models and certified professional trainers. By becoming trainers, they realized their potential to inspire others to get into shape. Wanting to use their ability to make a difference in the communities of Washington Heights and Inwood, the concept of Get Focused was born. Today Get Focused empowers young people all throughout New York City to lead more healthy and active lifestyles by providing them with the fundamental tools they will need to become healthy, fit adults. Goldin and Yusuf's goal is to create an initiative that increases the well being and overall health of our youth as well as helping them develop leadership skills in and out of the Get Focused program. The Ultimate goal of the organization is to gain a national presence as a leading organization in the area of personal wellness and health for youth.
Get Focused caters to the fitness needs of youth all across the New York City area. We provide them with a number of free services. These service include: Group Fitness Training, Specialized Nutrition Plans, Personalize Fitness Journals, Educational fitness workshops, Motivational speaking, Leadership Training, Health Fairs, Innovative Obstacle Courses, One on One Consultations and much, much more to help support youth in making the sustained changes necessary to live their best possible life.

Get Focused operates five days a week (Monday-Friday) gender specific sessions in a neighborhood recreation center or a school's gymnasium. They allow up to 25 students to attend a single session. The program consist of three age groups:
5 to 8 year old Get Focused Program  |
8 to 12 year old Get Focused Program  |
14 to 18 year old Get Focused Program |
