About Get Focused Inc.
Our Story: Get Focused Inc., established in 2008 is the brainchild of E. Goldin Martinez and Yusuf Myers. They are both well known fitness models and certified professional trainers. By becoming trainers, they realized their potential to inspire others to get into shape. Wanting to use their ability to make a difference in the communities of Washington Heights and Inwood, the concept of Get Focused was born.

Our World:
Over the past 3 decades, obesity rates have increased dramatically worldwide. Right now there are nine million children who are considered to be obese. According to the World Health Organization, obesity is a major risk factor for chronic diseases, accounting for an estimated 2.5 million deaths per year. By planting the seed of health and fitness in our communities Get Focused Inc. is providing one solid solution to the epidemic of obesity.

Get Focused Inc. is dedicated to strengthening disadvantaged communities, empowering underdeveloped minds and bodies, and promoting healthy change by providing a positive solution to the obesity epidemic. Get Focused Inc. empower young people and their parents to lead more healthy and active lifestyles by providing them the fundamental tools they will need to become healthy and fit families. They create a variety of innovative programs and events that help support families in making the essential changes necessary to live their best possible lives.
